Heute ein Bericht ohne Licht. Im Fokus steht hier der extreme Subwoofer C4 vom französischen Hersteller Granit Line designed by Gp2R . Angetrieben durch 4x 30er Chassis die in 2 Gruppen als Bassreflex aufgebaut sind.
Es wurden bei den Subs sowohl Eminence Delta Pro Chassis, als auch B&C Italy verbaut. Ich bin im Besitz von beiden Versionen – hier geht es um die mit Eminence bestückte Version.
Vom C4 gibt es noch eine kleinere Variante, die C2, diese ist quasi die Hälfte von der C4. Der SB1 von Granitline ist auch noch eine Variante. Eine C2 soll noch Ihren Dienst hier ganz in der Nähe verrichten, im Dancingpark Palazzo in Freiberg – vielleicht kann das jemand bestätigen – ich war schon Jahrzehnte nicht mehr dort.
Der Sub wurde gereinigt, aufgefrischt mit einer Schicht Warnex, er wurde neu verkabelt und neue Frontschäume wurden aufgeklebt.
Für Frontschäume kann ich im übrigen Adam Hall Sprühkleber empfehlen, UHU und andere Sprühkleber haben nicht gehaftet.
Leider musste ich vorübergehend den Speaker von 4 Ohm auf 8 Ohm anheben, da die dafür vorgesehene Endstufe den Parallelmode mit 4Ohm wegen eines defekten Schalters verweigert.
Er wird wieder umgebaut sobald der Verstärker die 2000W an 4Ohm bringt.

Hortus Audio takes over from Master Europe

France – The business of Master Europe, the France-based loudspeaker manufacturer, which had gone into receivership, has now been taken over by Hortus Audio. Hortus Audio was set up on April 1st 2003 in the form of an SAS (simplified joint stock company) with capital of 100,000 to take over the design and manufacture of speaker series Granit, Promann, Contract and NSX under the Hortus Audio brand, along with dedicated amplifiers and controllers.
Hortus Audio is the result of the determination of Silvère Davoust, former audio product manager at Master Europe, to continue the business and save the jobs of the employees. The mission of Hortus Audio is, the company says, to offer its partners reliable high-quality products that are designed and manufactured in France, in such a way as to achieve rapid return on investment. Hortus Audio is driven by the commitment of a dedicated team of people who know the trade very well, who wish to work in close collaboration with their partners and set up a dialogue with them to offer maximum service quality. The company also intends to develop its national and international market shares.
